Life After Robotic Prostate Surgery

A patient of ours from Toronto Ontario discussed why he traveled From Toronto all the way to New York to have robotic prostate surgery with Dr. David Samadi.

He shares his experience with Dr. David Samadi, one year after having surgery. He explains that his PSA increased and became over 0.4 ng/ml. At that point, he was suggested to have a biopsy and it turned out that he had prostate cancer. After receiving the diagnosis, he went to a number of specialists in the Toronto area. He was told that cancer could have been treated, but he would have serious side effects thereafter. He had a previous abdominal surgery, which made it difficult to have robotic prostate surgery. Based on a conversation he had with a friend, who is also a physician in Toronto area and collaborates with Dr. David Samadi, he was able to arrange a consultation with Dr. Samadi.

When visiting Dr. David Samadi, he expected to hear the same scenarios he had been told in Toronto. Dr. David Samadi explained that due to the way he approaches the procedure, there were many chances to deal with cancer and also minimize the side effects by sparing the nerves. Based on that consultation and on many other references, he decided to proceed with Dr. David Samadi.

Optimal outcomes of robotic prostate surgery

He had a very quick recovery, he was back and able to work to a limited capacity 2 and half weeks after surgery. Subsequently, he had several 0 PSA tests, incontinence is no longer an issue and everything started to work as expected.

After his experience, he gives Dr. David Samadi the strongest possible endorsement!
